Scholarship Opportunities

EAA Flight Training Scholarships - The EAA awards more than 1 million dollars in aviation scholarships through their various programs yearly and has multiple scholarship cycles.
AOPA Flight Training Scholarships - AOPA awarded more than 1 million dollars for in scholarships. They have four categories including primary and advanced flight ratings. AOPA also has a page linking to scholarships outside of AOPA which can be found HERE.
AAERO Aviation Scholarship Program - This scholarship is designed for someone at least 18 years and is working towards their private pilots license. Awards vary from $1,000 to $2,500.
Woman in Aviation International Scholarships - These scholarships are open to members of Women in Aviation International. Applications are due in November and awarded in March.
The Amelia Earhart Memorial Scholarships and Awards - These scholarships are open to members of the 99s and are awarded by the individual chapters.
National Aviation Explorer Scholarships - You must be a registered and active member in an aviation explorer post in order to apply. Awards vary from $2,000-$20,000
VA Department of Aviation Scholarships - The Virginia DOAV offers residents scholarships for flight training.
