The Shannon School of Aeronautics offers training toward an instrument rating.
Often after getting a Private or Commercial Certificate, obtaining the Instrument Rating graduates pilots to the next level of their aviation journey. Obtaining an Instrument Rating adds valuable experience and will overall make you a better aviator. In addition, you can potentially see reduced insurance rates, and makes you more marketable to potential aviation employers that require the rating. FAA minimum requirements for the Instrument Rating, under Part 61 are; 50 hours of cross country as PIC, 40 hours of actual/simulated instrument time, and a 250 nautical mile cross country. Most students also use these flight hours to build time towards their Commercial Pilot Certificate.
Shannon School of Aeronautics offers both Flight Reviews and IPC's. If you own your own aircraft, we may be willing to conduct the review or check in your aircraft, depending on what you own and the instructor's familiarity with the aircraft. Scheduling a Flight Review is as easy as calling the Flight School, and can usually be accommodated fairly quickly.
Shannon School of Aeronautics recommends AVEMCO insurance.
